1. Products and related services
This information applies to the following connected products and services for private customers:

2. Product
Products from the private customer sector (LARQ iQ)
Type: Hydration tracking data, filter information, device data (see data list for full data details).
Format: JSON, CSV
Volume: 1-5 KB per day with normal usage.
Frequency: The bottle measures continuously and can transmit data to the BRITA app in near real time via Bluetooth. A transfer to the cloud takes place when the app is connected to the internet.
Storage location and duration: Local storage on the networked product until the existing storage space is used up (approx. 7 days). From then on, the oldest data will be overwritten by new data. Cloud storage on Microsoft Azure Europe-West (Netherlands) servers. Machine data is stored for the period of use of the app.
Products from the business customer sector (BRITA PURITY C iQ, BRITA iQ Meter, BRITA Aquarite, BRITA Extra C-Tap, BRITA Fill, BRITA Top Compact, BRITA Top Pro)
Type: Production data, operating parameters, maintenance logs, error and event logs, component counters, network settings, operator inputs (see data list for full data details).
Format: JSON, CSV
Length: 1-50 KB per transfer.
Frequency:
BRITA iQ Portal: Daily Broadcast
BRITA iQ Connect App: Transfer during on-site maintenance
Storage location and duration: Local storage on the networked product for a period of at least 24 hours. Cloud storage on Microsoft Azure Europe-West (Netherlands) servers. Machine data is stored for at least 12 months.
3. Connected Service Data
Type: App usage data (login times, diagnostic data, performance data, product interaction data, user ID, device identifier, crash data, usage data, settings)
Scope: 1-5 KB per session
Access: Access is via the respective connected service:
- BRITA app or by e-mail to brita.app@brita.net.
- BRITA iQ Portal or by e-mail to eudataact@brita.net.
- BRITA iQ Connect app or by email to eudataact@brita.net
Location and duration: Cloud storage on Microsoft Azure Europe-West (Netherlands) servers.
App usage data will:
- Stored in the BRITA app for at least 12 months
- Stored on the BRITA iQ Portal for at least 12 months
- Stored in the BRITA iQ Connect app for at least 12 months
Contract data about the contract term.
4. Own use
The data is used to provide and secure the connected service, for product optimization, research and development. No disclosure to third parties will take place without the user's consent, unless required by law.

6. Disclosure to third parties
Disclosure to third parties is possible at any time at the request of the user in writing or by e-mail. This also applies if the user wants to stop a disclosure.
7. Right of appeal
The User has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent authority.
8. Trade secrets
The product and service data may contain trade secrets of BRITA SE.
9. Term and termination of the contract
The term and termination of the contract is governed by the above-mentioned terms of use. Data access ends at the end of the contract.
